Following his career in law enforcement he earned a Bachelors Degree (BA) degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in Political Science. Before venturing out on his own, Rick was employed by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) as a Background Investigator and later took positions with Riverside and Ventura Counties as a criminal defense investigator.
